Afric Communication, a Kaduna based multimedia outfit, is set to honor the wife of the Kaduna state governor, Hajiya Hadiza Ahmad El-Rufai, with a Quintessential Role Model award.
The award ceremony, billed to take place in Kaduna soon, is part of the outfit’s African Builders Award series, where distinguished Nigerians contributing positively to the growth and development of the society, are honored.
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Afric Communication, Prince Olusa Ibukun, said in Kaduna that the decision to confer the award on the governor’s wife was unanimously taken during their corporate end-of-year meeting, and hoped that the award would be a catalyst for greater commitment to serve the people.
“We are impressed by the developmental strides in Kaduna under the administration of her husband and our indefatigable governor, Malam Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai. Since ‘behind every successful man, there is a woman,’ we deem it fit to give honor where honor is due, and shall confer one of our most prestigious awards on our mother, Hadiza, soon.”
Ibukun said the award ceremony was symbolic and represented the womenfolk in the state, who are supportive at the domestic front. He explained that the award would attract dignitaries from within and outside Kaduna state, and that other distinguished Nigerians would also be recognized and awarded on the occasion.
They included the Interim Management Committee Chairmen of Birnin-Gwari Local Government Area, Abdullahi Amir, Noble Audu of Sanga Local Government Area, Ben Kure of Jaba, Musa Ibrahim of Giwa and Hon. Lawal Rabiu representing Lere in the House of Representatives.
Others are, Alhaji Saidu Danbala Adamu; commissioner ICPC Abuja, Alhaji Sa’adu Abashe; Garun Malam, Kano state; Josh Amos, Ipokia LG Ogun state; Pius Bakan of Kauru LG in Kaduna state; Ambassador Bala Mohammed Mairiga, Madawakin Mafara, Wazirin Zurmi Zamfara state; Hon. Lawali Marafa, chairman of Talata Mafara LG in Zamfara state.
