Kidnapped Germans Regain Freedom In Kaduna

The abducted German Archaeologist, Professor Peter Breunij, and his research assistant, Johannes Buringer, have regained freedom from their abductors. They were abducted by gunmen at Jenjela Village, in Kagarko local government area of Kaduna State, on 26th February, 2017.

A statement by the Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to Kaduna state Governor, Samuel Aruwan, on Sunday said the governor commended security agencies for their efforts in securing the release of the Germans.

The professor is the leader of a four-man team from the University of Frankfurt, Germany, who is working in Nigeria in collaboration ‎with the National Commission for Museum and Monuments and other institutions on the relics of Nok culture in Nigeria.
