Following the death, during the week, of Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development, Arc Samuel Arum Galadima, three days of mourning, beginning from Wednesday 22nd March, 2017, to Friday, March 24th, 2017, has been declared in Plateau State.
A statement signed and issued to newsman in Jos on Wednesday evening, by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Hon Rufus Bature, stated that, the late Arc Galadima slumped and died during their part of a regular fortnightly physical exercise at the Jos Township Stadium. During the exercise, the commissioner slumped and was rushed to the Plateau State Specialist Hospital where he was confirmed death.
The late Arc Samuel Galadima, 58, was Afizere by tribe, from Jos East local government council of the State.
The state governor, Barr Simon Lalong, has suspended all public functions in view of the mourning mood in the state, and enjoined all citizens of the state to share in the burden of the loss and pray for God to comfort the family and the entire people of plateau.
