Jos East LGC calls for more Secondary Schools for its people

Traditional Ruler of Afizere, in Jos East local government council (LGC), Rev. Dr. Isaac Azi Wakili Agwom, has appealed to the state government to come to their aid by establishing more Government Secondary Schools in the community.

Disclosing this to journalists in his Palace in Jos East local government council recently, the Wakili Agwom stressed that, “We don’t have any higher institution within the community. Here, we are talking about Secondary Schools, while other communities are talking about higher institutions.”

He noted that, “the secondary schools we have – most of them are community-based; that is why we are appealing to the government to look into the situation.”

While urging Nigerians to continue to pray for President Muhammadu Buhari, “because he carries the burden of Nigerians,” the Wakili Agwom described the President as a ‘man of God and integrity,’ adding that, “with his coming back to Nigeria, will be healed.”

The Traditional Ruler further urged the people of his community to continue to be patient with the present government, because Governor Lalong has promised to ensure the community the construction of roads with the limited resources, and are waiting for the rains to be over to carry out the work.

He assured of his people’s continued support and cooperation with the present government so that the dividends of democracy will come at the right time.

On the collapse bridge, he said the governor has been informed and assured of its commitment to reconstruct it soon.
