Bauchi State Federal Road Safety Command Arrests 172 Traffic Offenders

About 172 traffic offenders in Bauchi State have been arrested by the Bauchi State Federal Road Safety Command for various offences.

The Sector Commander, Mr. Paul Gua, while disclosing this to journalists in his office in Bauchi in an interview, said about five mobile courts have been put in place in various locations to execute the charges against offenders.

He explained that the courts are in Toro, Darazo, Bara Town, Alkaleri and Bauchi state metropolis.

According to him, among the traffic offenses include over-speeding, over-loading, making calls, while driving, as well as using worn-out tyres. He expressed that about 165 offenders have so far been convicted by the mobile courts.

Mr. Gua disclosed that the command had recently carried out public rallies in some motor parks, including Radio and Television programs, on traffic rules and regulations.

The Sector Commander warned with seriousness on road users to obey road signs.
